A digital innovation hubs catalogue will be created to ensure that any industry in Europe can fully benefit from digital innovations to upgrade products, improve processes and adapt business models to the digital change as part of the Digitalising European Industrial Strategy. With an investment of €500 million, a pan-European network of Digital Innovation Hubs is a vital part of this strategy.

What is a Digital Innovation Hub?

A digital innovation hub is a one-stop shop for companies regarding the latest knowledge, expertise, and technology to help companies become more competitive. These digital innovative hubs ensure that any company small or large, high-tech or not, can grasp digital opportunities. If needed, they can also provide access to business and financing support to implement these digital innovations, and many have strong linkages with service providers outside of their region supporting companies with access to their services.

A digital innovation hub is a regional multi-partner cooperation including organisations like RTOs, universities, industry associations, chambers of commerce, incubator/accelerators, regional development agencies and even governments.

The digital hubs catalogue will contain comprehensive information on digital hubs in Europe to give any SME or industry access to the exact competence fitting its need in order to digitise the enterprise.
