Donegal Digital will be present at the 'Connecting Digital Hubs and Innovation Centres across Europe' event in October where representatives from Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Slovenia and Sweden will meet to discuss the role that digital innovation hubs can play in the socio-economic development of the regions, as part of the ERUDITE project.

Attendees will have the opportunity to get inspiring presentations from other Digital Innovation Hubs and models in Europe, ranging from business-oriented privately-owned initiatives (Ludgate) to university-led like the Maker labs network in Slovenia or socially oriented like the Lab Altobello in Venice (Italy).

Experts including representatives from the European Commission DG AGRI will discuss the vision of a Peripheral Digital Innovation Hubs Network working together and linked to other main Innovation Centres of Competence.

The event will be complemented with several site visits to innovation centres including CoLab and Aislann Centre in Donegal (Ireland) as well as the Catalyst Innovation Centre, C-TRIC, Eighty81 Hub and Nerve Centre in Derry (Northern Ireland).

About ERUDITE

ERUDITE, where ERNACT is a partner, is a project funded under the Interreg Europe programme that aims to assist rural and more marginal urban regions across Europe to develop, design, implement and improve digital services that capitalise on the potential offered by High-Speed Broadband Networks and catalyse regional innovation capacity.
