Mr. Conor Boyce will give an introduction to the Digital Marketing Planning Process, a comprehensive and detailed overview of the entire Digital Marketing Planning process from start to finish. This will introduce the use of templates and frameworks to guide attendees through the marketing planning process: Sostac Model, Value Proposition Framework, Lean Canvas Framework, funnel metrics...
He will speak about implementing marketing theory and practice in a Digital Business environment as well. The changes driving the online buyer journey will be set out with how Digital Disruption affects all businesses. This will give participants a very clear idea of how to implement marketing theory and practice in a Digital business environment. Therefore, Attendants will understand how to build a Digital Measurement Plan:
a) Acquisition
b) Conversion rate optimisation
c) Building retention
Conor Boyce recommends to identify 5 or 6 ways of acquisition. "Where does social media fit into overall marketing / sales objectives?". According to Boyce, the best way to develop a digital strategy is to "keep it simple, don't over-complicate things. Know your metrics".
Moreover, the use of analytics for planning and control will also be discussed with a focus on optimisation levels of growth and identification of critical KPIs. Each participant will undertake in-class exercises in relation to topics such as:
- Defining your business model
- Identifying most optimum target market subsets
- Identifying sources of competitive advantage
- Mapping out customer personas
- Company SWOT analysis
- Understanding your value proposition
- Identifying Macro and Micro website conversions
- Identifying business sweet spot for building competitive advantage
