As part of Donegal Digital action plan, Conor Boyce Principal at Earlytoe Marketing leaded a workshop highlighting how to develop a digital strategy to promote businesses online. The event has been held alongside Digital Donegal Week 2017 at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology and All Aboard 2017, a national initiative to build confidence in digital skills for learning.
Boyce spoke about web analytics to drive strategy and how to integrate digital technologies to help boost and streamline online activities. According to Boyce, a modern marketer needs to have the following skills:
- smart mind
- understanding of digital landscape
- content creator and publisher
- ability to analyse data
The principal of Earlytoe Marketing also spoke about the success of acquisition, how to maximise conversion rates and build engagement. As he explained, it is necessary to "think outside the box". Furthermore, Boyce said that it is very important to produce content on a regular basis.
Attendants to the workshop really engaged with this expert and got the opportunity to make some questions about their businesses and how to digitally improve them.
