Jointly organised by Alpha Innovation Project, The Inishowen Innovation Hub, Donegal County Council and Donegal Digital, the 'Grow Via Digital' online event has today navigated attendees through the funding supports available and outlined some successful digital stories.

The session was part of the 'Digital First Day' national campaign organised by the Digital Ireland Network and Ireland’s 262 ConnectedHubs, to create a national conversation about the benefits of digital growth for organisations and communities in towns and villages across Ireland.

During this event, over 30 attendees got the opportunity to find out more about free vouchers to work from the various Donegal Digital Innovation Hubs; the plans for the ii Inishowen Innovation hub, that will bring opportunities for digital entrepreneurs to collaborate together; the impact of the successful #BuyDonegal campaign, which last year reached 13.9 million people and facilitated 46% of consumers surveyed purchasing at least one local product; further details about Trading Online Vouchers helping businesses gear up for online success; and some benefits and challenges explained by the local designer Edel MacBride, about setting up a business online and using local initiatives, such as, the Buy Donegal campaign and Donegal Local Enterprise Office's supports to her advantage.

More about the ii
'the ii' aka Inishowen Innovation will be opening its brand new digital innovation hub in Buncrana early in 2023. In the meantime, there is an interim location for remote, hybrid and hot desk workers on the Main Street in Buncrana. "Our goal is to help new tech start-ups emerge and small innovative businesses to get established in a shared environment that is not just a place of work, but somewhere they can collaborate, learn and grow", explains Anne Marie Mc Laughlin, Innovation Manager at the ii. Visit theii.com, where you learn more and book workspace (including up to 3 free days through Connected Hubs until 31 December).

Stay tuned! At the beginning of next year, two follow-up workshops will be organised. Save the dates!
