Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, has officially opened today two Digital Innovation Hubs in the county: gteic@Carraig Airt (Carrigart), which has received €250,000 under 'Our Rural Future' programme, and gteic@Gaoth Dobhair (Gweedore), where there is already a community with over 30 companies operating, a hub with over €1.5 million in funding.

Donegal's Digital Innovation Hubs network offers the opportunity to experience the ultimate work and life balance as the county is now a place of cutting-edge digital innovation. The Donegal Digital partnership has identified the Digital Innovation Hubs as a suitable policy response and delivery channel for distributing digital services and innovation into our local communities. DIHs can assist digital entrepreneurs, remote tech workers, tech company managers and investment professionals that might have interest in the region.

"Hubs like these are central to the Government's policy of driving a balanced regional economy", stated Charlie McConalogue, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, who has also attended the official openings.
