The Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation
published in December 2019 a report containing types of remote working solutions and the influencing factors. Nevertheless, with the publication of the 'Remote Work in Ireland' report, the Government found a current need for national guidance for employers seeking to engage with these kind of solutions and increase the uptake of remote working.

They noticed that employers were demanding more information on equality, health and safety, employment rights and the right to disconnect, data protection and training, among others. Now, with the unprecedented number of people working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a guidance has been published. Nonetheless, the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation is currently conducting a public consultation to be able to address key areas of concern for both, employers and employees.

Have your say before the 7th of August!
